No to Plastic Bags

August 21, 2009 By Leave a Comment

IT’S IN THE BAG!

21st August 2009

say NO to plastic bags

150 green cloth shopping bags are now circulating in Muswell Hill as a result of Muswell Hill Sustainability Group’s efforts. We fed them into the system at the point of least resistance in front of Sainsbury’s front door. Out they came minutes later bulging with produce. Anyone with any orange placcies were given a good thrashing and sent  home with their tails between their legs!

On a more serious note,  members handed out  green cloth shopping bags for free with info about the danger plastic bags poses to our environment and we joined up new members who were given one of our wonderful printed jute bags.
