The challenging and complicated issue of the future of Pinkham Way is being handled expertly by the Pinkham Way Alliance, PWA. Over the last two years their thoroughness has brought to light serious irregularities on the part of our council and the North London Waste Authority. The next step needs as many names supporting their campaign as can be mustered. Muswell Hill Sustainability Group supports the campaign against the proposed waste processing plant which will, if it gets the go-ahead, be the biggest in Europe. HARINGEY CONSULTATION ON NATIONAL PLANNING POLICY FRAMEWORK
Some of you have asked about the consultation Haringey are currently running on what the government’s new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) means for their Core Strategy.
Published on 27 March 2012, the NPPF, put in place to simplify the old planning regulations, is now legally binding. These changes are relevant to our campaign, but the issues are technical ones.
The PWA has drafted an expert response. We’ve set up a very simple web page where you can read it and quickly add your name in support.
Please add your name to our response here.
However, don’t think you need to respond individually to this consultation. Your personal input will be vital at consultations in the future.
