MHSG’s Wood Fuel Group had a Summer BBQ on 22nd June. Stewart showed off his stores of wood, and inspired others to join the Wood Fuel Group whose aim is to use local felled wood for local homes. Woodburning stoves are becoming increasingly popular but many people are paying a lot of money to buy wood. Equally people who get trees chopped down are paying people to take the wood away! The Wood Fuel Group thought it would be a good idea to match both sets of people. Since last Winter they have got together to chop wood from local felled trees (with permission of course) and have then used it in their own homes.
