Green Open Homes 2019

October 16, 2019 By Cara Jenkinson 11 Comments

This November a variety of homes in Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Alexandra Park, Highgate and Tottenham are on show to the public.  Properties include Edwardian villas,  a 1920s former London County Council property, a timber-framed 1980s house and the cob and straw eco building at the Meadow Orchard community garden.  Features include underfloor heating systems, an air source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, a green roof and much more.

This is a great way to learn what others are doing to make their homes more environmentally friendly and understand what measures you can implement in your own home.

These properties will be open on Sunday 3rd November and Saturday 9th November 2019. To view details on all the properties opening please click here. Please book your tours in advance at eventbrite here.

    Hello

Does the owner walk and talk you round the house for an hour? Or is it that once you have booked a slot you can drop in at any point during that hour?

    Hi.
The links aren’t working on anything in your latest newsletter, unfortunately.
Annoy sign the petition re Tottenham Clouds, nor will the link work to see all the houses open to the public re Green Open Homes.

    hi,
I signed up but never received a full address so I went up and down the whole street, expecting to see a sign or something but couldn’t see anything. Have I missed some instructions?
    thank you

Hi Claudia, really sorry about this – we’ll check what happened. Did you book on Eventbrite, and did you get an email from Simon Hesketh?

Hi Claudia – it looks like you booked for this weekend 9th November – Nelson Road at 10.00am which is why you weren’t emailed with the house number. Let us know if you still want to visit the home.
